Let the Summer FUN begin

Photo May 20, 06 35 42.jpg

Let’s be real, summer is here and the kids are out of school and if you are anything like me, I DO NOT want my child driving me insane all summer with boredom or video games. I have complied a mini summer guide to help make planning summer events and activities a little easier.

These are camps I have personally had Eli in and I loved them! I am all about activities and making sure Eli isn’t sitting in a building bored out of his mind waiting for me to pick him up. The below camps were fun, interactive, and affordable.

If you are a working parent like myself, you may have that guilt inside of you where you wish you were spending the entire summer with your kids, I know I always feel so bad that I cannot spend the summer with Eli but I make the best of the schedule I do have. Below is a list of things you can do with the kiddos.

Budget? What’s that? LOL!! Having the kiddos at home means you are probably spending more money on food and activities. You don’t have to spend a lot of summer everyday for your kiddos to have fun. Below is a list of things that are either free, or at very low cost.

Here are a couple of cost savings passes that you can use to save money this summer.

Summer means happy times and good sunshine. It means going to the beach, going to Disneyland, having fun.

Whatever you plan to do this summer, i hope you have a wonderful time and you get to make ever lasting memories with your loved ones. Happy Summer friends!

Pattytellsall Blogiversary Mixer

What a time to be alive! I hosted my very first mixer a little over a week ago (1/18/2019) in honor of my blog turning one. (My blog actually turned one on 1/26/2019). I was nervous and excited for the event. I worked with SO many great sponsors and my event wouldn’t have been successful without them.

The event took place at The Union Houston - an art gallery that is also a venue for events. Union was the best place I could have had to host the event. The space was perfect! At the event there was a preview of Union’s newest art exhibition, Prima Materia which is by two local hispanic artist, Darwin Arevalo & Grace Zuñiga. If you are planning an event and need a venue, check out The Union. The space is perfect for any event. A special thank you to Theresa and The Union for hosting my mixer!

Miradela knows the love I have for conchas and Pan Dulce. She sponsored the famous El Bolillo Bakery conchas. Thank you Gabby for being sweet like pan dulce!!

Roxor gin provided their artisan gin and LaShanna with Three Lumps of Sugar whipped up a specialty drink for the event. Austin East Ciders provided their top seller cider - Brut and it’s on my top favorites now.

Every get together needs some good music and that is exactly what DJ RJ delivered! He had the crowd dancing and he made sure to get a feel of the atmosphere to ensure everyone enjoyed the mixer. If you’re looking for a Dj, RJ is your guy!!

Who doesn’t love a photo booth?! Selfies-R-Us brought the fun with the photo booth. You were able to take a photo home AND send a digital copy to your phone. They also designed the background of the prints and I must say, it went perfect with my popcorn theme.

If you’re looking for a photo booth for any event I highly recommend Selfies-R-Us!

Giant yellow balloon w/ tassels & Balloon garland in the photobooth backdrop was provided by @Glamfettico

Lovehandle designed popcorn theme lovehandles for all of my guest! I am a very proud lovehandle user which has made selfie taking a piece of cake!! Thank you LOVEHANDLE !!!

Blo Montrose set up a braid bar for all of my guest to get a braid done at the event. I have been getting my blow outs from Blo and they did my makeup and hair for the event! If you have any events coming up, or if you’re anything like me and just love bouncy hair, Blo will take care of you!

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with me. I did not expect the outcome and response I did and I am overwhelmed with gratitude. This year of blogging has taken me out of my comfort zone, has helped me gain a piece of confidence I was missing and it connected me with some amazing people.

Thank you to all of my sponsors, my event would not have been what it was without each and every one of y’all!

I scream, You scream, We all Scream for PIZZA?!

Ok, maybe that isn’t how it goes, but I need to shed some light on a pizza event I attended this past Monday. #HoustonPizzaFiesta! I learned so much and I won’t lie: Domino’s hasn’t always been my first choice for Friday night pizza delivery. But after trying out their new menu items and seeing the direction they are going in, Domino’s will be part of my Friday nights in!

Domino’s is changing up and remodeling many of their locations in Houston and around the nation. They are changing it to a “Theater style” restaurant. They are making it an experience, kid/family friendly, and they are putting on a show for their guest! You can have your little one step up on their “Young Pizza Inspector” steps and they can watch the Domino’s experts make their pizzas! Sometimes they even throw dough out and let the guest catch it. They have charging stations all around their walls so you can get work/homework done while enjoying one of their new menu items.

Domino’s impressed me with their new menu items. Their Domino’s marbled cookie brownie was TO DIE FOR. They don’t only have pizza but they also have sandwiches, salads, desserts, and pasta! No matter if you are a picky eater or you can eat anything, there is something on the menu for everyone in the family.

They are also stepping up their game with their deliveries. They have a tracker on their apps and websites so you can better track your pizza. Domino’s wanted to make it easier for their customers to be able to order food no matter where they were. They now have “Hotspots.” Hotspots are locations that may not have physical addresses but are popular (parks, venues, hospitals). Instead of trying to scramble around for an address, you can meet your Domino’s delivery guy/girl at the designated Hotspot!

I had the opportunity to build my own pizza and it is not as easy as it looks. I learned so much about their growth and how they want to make their customers happy. They are about to hit their peak time and are currently hiring 500 drivers and 100+ assistant managers. (Drivers get paid mileage and tips on the same day of their shift). You can look for job opportunities on the link below!

Thank you Domino’s for inviting me to your #Houstonpizzafiesta you did not disappoint!
